Pilates is a complete mind-body exercising programme that was developed by Joseph Pilates in 1883. He worked on the principle of controlling the muscles via the soul creating, as a result, a new level of awareness as to how the body moves.

Stretching and strengthening exercises form the basis of Pilates that should establish your body’s core as a powerhouse. This also tightens the body’s tissue and leads to weight loss. Most notably, Pilates serves to strengthen the pelvic floor, stomach and back. Particularly in times of increasing daily stress, Pilates is a contemporary method of combating problems caused by incorrect posture, stress and insufficient exercise.
